GM Klang Run for IT 7 - 21Km @ GM Klang Wholesale City

Endomondo Running Workout was out running 20.88Km km in 3h:13m:17s

The route is good, and not many uphill like others, and thought will have pb, unfortunately pw.
This round really wanted to try barefoot for the last 5 Km, last just did last 2 Km.
Right leg started felt something at Km5, and start to slow down for longer distance. It help, and last me till Km15, ans seriously can not run, and walk back to the finishing line.

PBIM 2013 - 42.195Km @ Queensbay Mall

Endomondo Running Workout was out running 42.195 km in 6h:39m:59s

This is my second full marathon run. It started early at 2am. Managed to complete in 6 hours 39 minutes.
1-5Km : started from the queensbay mall toward the left to bayan lepas, and U turn at 4Km back to the Penang Bridge.
6-10Km : beginning of the bridge from island, and rain started with strong wind toward the runner.
11-15Km : The Women half category started to run at 3am, and I can see the runner bypass me easily. At Km15, this is where the U turn of the Half marathoner.
16-20Km : Met my colleague runner "Salina Lily", and pace her toward the mainland Km18. There are bread at Km19, after the U turn back to island. Grab a bread, and manage to saw another colleague runner "Damien" at the opposite.
21-25Km : Managed to chase back Lily at the Km23, and walk with her for almost 1Km. Passed her a powergel, and a box of raisin for energy refilled.
26-30Km : Back to island, and met with some fast cari runners coming back at the opposite lane.
31-35Km : U turn at the end of the LCY highway, and manged to pee at the toilet.
36-40Km : Met an uncle, and walk and talk with him while on the way back to the finishing line.
41-42.195Km : the Garmin watch started to run out of battery at Km41. While crossing the finishing line, look at the TITAN clock for the event is 6hours 39minutes. So this is the Guntime, and the Nettime should be less.

2XU Compression Run 2013 - 15Km @ Padang Merbuk

This is consider another distance run for me before the PBIM. It was raining before the flag off, and there is some delayed in flag off, so everyone was wet at the starting line.

Knowing there is uphill and downhill (this is the double hill) route, and what wasn't expected was the at Km11, the uphill almost killed me.

Powerman 2013 - Sprint, 5.5Km Run - 32Km cycle - 5.5Km Run @ Putrajaya

Endomondo Cycling Workout was out running and cycling 44.15 km in 3:08m:07s using Endomondo

Last year powerman event participated in Men Relay, and running the 3rd leg. This year joined the SPRINT category, 5.5Km run - 32Km cycle - 5.5Km run.

First run is good, and manage to complete in 41 minutes, while cycling 32Km in 1:27hour, then last run on 52min.
last run started with very slow, and still to manage to push some mileage when some elite runner pass by.

SCKLM 2013 - 42.195Km @ Dataran Merdeka

Endomondo Running Workout was out running 42.195 km in 6:45m:22s using Endomondo

This is my 1st FULL marathons since I started to run in 2011. You never try, you never know. I have done 7 times of half marathons, that help me in term of some distance toward 21Km. While 42Km is different, which you shouldn't push too hard in the 1st half, and you need some energy for the 2nd half.

1-5Km - From Dataran Merdeka to Mid Valley. My pace still good, and within 7:30min to 8:00min. Noticed someone fall down, and believe she is ok.
6-10Km - Mid Valley to TUDM airport, the road is flat still, and with help from some frequent runner (Mohan), manage to push a bit faster.
11-15Km - From TUDM airport to Vivahome, stop while at the nearby Km12, seeing most of the muslim runners start their regular praying. Along the Jalan Loke Yew, those 21Km runners start overtaking us, and they run very fast.
16-20Km - Vivahome to Wisma TIME, turn into Cheras after the roundabout, then Jalan tun Razak, passby  Pudu Pasar area.
21-25Km - Turn into Jalan Bukit Bintang, and pass-by Pavilion, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Jalan Raja Chulan, Jalan P Ramlee,and toward KLCC, Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, and all the way to Jalan Tun Razak. There was a water spray tunnel in front of hotel Istana.
26-30Km - Jalan tun Razak, Jalan Pahang routeabout, turn in Jalan Ipoh. There were power gel giving out at water station Km26, unfortunately, there run out of stock, and it really demotivating all the runners. Expect banana at Km29 water station, and was told also no stock. Felt very upset, and have to consume my last power gel, which I plan to have it for Km30 above.
31-35Km- Jalan Ipoh, at the Jalan Kepong route-about  turn in Jalan Kuching, and all the way to Segambut routeabout. There was hot sun, and really can run well on this 5Km, and so lucky, there was power gel at the water station, and this really help.
36-40Km - This is where the standard training route for most of the runner, from the Segambut route-about  turn in to the Bukit Tunku, and all the way to Bank Negara. This is the most excited 5Km, as you can see so many volunteers cheer up the runner, and gave out free drinks, free food. I got Free Malta, and it was cold, and it was awesome. then I manage to perform few slow run uphill, and downhill, and u-turn to the Bank Negara.
41-42.295Km - Bank Negara, turn in Jalan Raja Laut, and turn at Pertama Komplex, then Jalan TAR back to Dataran Merdaka. Met Desmond Liau (Cari Runner), and walk with him from Jalan Raja Laut to 100m before the finishing line. He told he he was injured since Km23, and still manage to walk till Km40.

Live Great Run 2013 - 12Km @ Matrade

Endomondo Running Workout: was out running 12.29 km in 1h:35m:12s using Endomondo.

This is another great run organised by Great Eastern, the route is different compare to last year. This year we went through Bukit Tunku, and back to Jalan Kuching. I'm expecting to run slow pace, and try to avoid any injury. It end up the best 8Km ever last least 4 weeks. Hope I'm still good to run the SCKLC, overall the result is look good.

Men'sHealth & Shape Run 2013 - 12Km @ Putrajaya

Endomondo Running Workout was out running 12.30 km in 1h:35m:35s using Endomondo

This is my second year of Men'sHealth & Shape Run, and expected no medal again this year due to limited to 1000 for A catagory. It was a raining day, and rain start before the race, and never stop till end of the race.
These 2 weeks manage to clock the first 8Km below 1 hour, and hope can maintain the same pace next week, and the coming SCKLM.

Charity Run for Kidney 2013 - 10Km @ ICity Shah Alam

Didn't plan for this run initially, and due to need more training for the re-schedule of the SCKLM 2013, therefore simply signup for this online. Overall the event are well organised, and one thing don't like is ICity did not sponsor for the free parking. Managed to run 8km below 1 hours, and the distance end in 9.5Km as expected.

New Balance Half Marathon 2013 - 21Km @ Setia City Convention Centre

Endomondo Running Workoutwas out running 20:70 km in 2h:50m:36s using Endomondo.


Last run event was on June, and I miss the Olympic Day Fun run, and Standard Chartered Full Marathon due to re-schedule to 29-Sept. So this should be the starting of the training for the full in Sept.

At Km5, the left leg started showing problem, and manage to overcome it by slowing down the pace all the way to Km8. Refill energy by having a energy gel at Km8, then later at Km14. Thought of having another refill at Km18, then later just another 3 more Km, better save it for next run.

Mizuno Wave Run 2013 - 16Km @ Putrajaya

Endomondo Running Workout: was out running 15.96 km in 2h:22m:37s using Endomondo.

This should be the last LSD training for the SCKLM 42, instead it is. The timing is so bad, and my leg give me big problem this time, and I'm almost unable to walk at all. Luckily manage to find way to walk back to the finishing line.

See doctor, and given this "NEUROGEN-E" table to heal the leg, hope it help. Also doctor said no run for next 3 weeks.

Bidor Half Marathon 2013 - 21Km @ Bidor

Endomondo Running Workout was out running 21.31 km in 3h:02m:57s using Endomondo.

This is the great run. The route is not tough as expected despite there are hilly at Km 13. Therefore believe a lot of people will have their personal best in here. Unfortunately, that is not me. The first 5Km is good, and managed to have 8Km within an hour. Unfortunately the last 3Km were almost walking pace due to knee pain.
Will still coming back next year, if they organise it.

Jogathon Warisan 2013 - 5Km @ Thean Hou Temple

Endomondo Running Workout: was out running 4.78 km in 47m:29s using Endomondo.
Date : 21-April-2013

This is the fun run for me, and the actual distance is 5Km, due to start of my GPS tracking after few 100 meters of the run. This is mainly the family run, and I run with my wife, my son, and my daughter. They all run first, almost 1Km ahead of me due to I'm busing on photo shooting.  Anyway, I managed to catch up later, and meet them at almost last Km.



We lost the wristband, and therefore we did not manage to get the finisher key-chain. I don;t think they will give out for fun run categories.

KEC Unity Run 2013 - 10Km @ Klang

Endomondo Running Workout: was out running 9.52 km in 1h:10m:30s using Endomondo.

Date : 17-March-2013
KEC Unity Run happening on it 3rd times in 2013, and this is my first times for this route.
The actual distance is 9.5Km measure using the gps watch.
The starting is easy run, and the road is flat, while come to the 7Km and 10Km split, which need to go uphill, and downhill and U turn, still manageable.

This is a rather small event, and therefore no timing chip, you have to time yourself.

Overall, this is a easy route compare to the padang merbok.

Brooks Half Marathon 2013 - 21Km @ Bukit Jalil

Endomondo Running Workout: was out running 17.43 km in 2h:31m:29s using Endomondo.

This run really good experience. It is a half marathon, and due to the GPS watch having battery issue, and manage to record up to 17.43km only. I miss 2012 event, and managed to make it this year.
This is the worst route I ever did for the half marathon, and there are up hill, and up hill, and long up hill.

Actual chip time is 3 hours 11 minutes as records by the event management.

OCBC Cycling 2013 - 48Km @ KLCC

Endomondo Cycling Workout: was out cycling 45.26 km in 2h:08m:18s using Endomondo.

This is my first time joining only Cycling event, and OCBC is the most anticipated cycling event in Malaysia. Back in 2011, the event held in mid Oct, while everyone expect the same event happen in Oct 2012. Unfortunately, it does not happened, and at last postponed to Jan 2013.

The route was good, from KLCC to Jalan Raja Chulan, Dataran Merdeka, Parliament, Bukit Tunku, PWTC, Jalan Kuching, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Jalan TAR, Jalan Dang Wangi, Jalan Ampang back to KLCC.

There are few uphill challenges, from Jalan P. Ramli to Jalan Raja Chulan. Dataran Merdeka to Parliament, Bukit Tunku.

MPI Run 2013 - 12Km @ Padang Merbuk

Endomondo Running Workout: was out running 11.80 km in 1h:29m:51s using Endomondo.

This is the 1st running event in 2013, and this is my second times running, and I did it with better timing this round. Some minor changes compare to last year round to make the route close to 12Km.
